The
Anchormen at Waller
Manhood and Anchormen
The good ship manhood is being tossed violently to and fro by the
raging waves of ungodly efforts and ungodly influences. In
Titus chapter one, God has Paul instruct Titus to counteract these
ungodly efforts and influences by strategically placing in
leadership roles:
First, men whose personal and family lifestyle exemplifies Jesus
Christ and the truth concerning Him.
Second, they were to be men who held firmly to the faithful word of
God as it had been taught by the apostles.
Why? So that they could encourage others by sound doctrine and
refute those who contradict.
Therefore, the urgent cry in the midst of today's raging storms of
ungodliness is for Anchormen to put down the anchor in order to hold
fast the Faithful Word of God in the storms of life. Titus 1:9

All men 16 and older are invited. The Anchormen meet in the
Fellowship Hall each Tuesday @ 5:45 AM. On the first Tuesday of the
month they meet for breakfast at a restaurant. The location
will be announced the Sunday prior to their meeting. Bill
Eisle is the leader/teacher. Our study each week teaches "How to be
a Man according to Biblical Principals". During the year the
Anchormen will be responsible for ministering to one another as well
as to the congregation by visiting, praying, encouraging and
exhorting. Several ministry opportunities will be hosted by the
anchormen to involve the church men and boys. In addition, the
Anchormen are to help with boys in the church that do not have a dad
at home. The Anchormen ministry was started specifically to help
dads to become the Spiritual Leaders in their homes.
Tuesdays at 5:45 am in the Fellowship Hall. We have breakfast
(coffee and donuts). We sing our theme song "Face to Face", learn
from the Word of God, have discussion, and fellowship and pray. "You
can't get much better than that." Ya'll Come !!!!!
The Anchormen also help the deacons put on our annual barbecue for
the neighborhood. All residents near the church are invited and
there is a cooking competition. More information is
here.
